Brando by E

Only months after the release of Aviation, Semi Precious Weapons unveil their new single "Brando" along with plans to release their second album of 2014.

Feeling like it's headed in a different direction than the pop/rock sound so prevalent on Aviation, "Brando" feels grounded. A gritty production leaves little room to breathe while a light underlying rhythm and simple synth line jibe gorgeously with an hypnotizingly raspy bass and clean guitar riffs, all tied together by Tranter's uniquely enchanting vocals.

The heavy melody and solid rhythm are as emotionally charged as eloquent verses "tango with me, in Parisian streets, Italian shoes don't miss a beat, tango with me until you believe, I'm in love with Brando" and nothing will get you addicted to a track quicker than the sweet repetition of "face to face, feather to stone, face to face, together we're home" intermixed with remarkably fun riffs.

Says lead singer Tranter of the band's decision to release a second full length album in 2014, "we have songs that we love, songs that we just wrote, and we don't want to wait to share them. Both sonically and emotionally, this is who we are right now. We are fortunate to be at a label that is cool enough to support us putting this out right now. The rules of an 'album cycle' as set by the record industry don't work for people who really love music anymore, so why follow them."

You Said by E

EVVY's "You Said" off her debut self-titled EP (available now) features a clean production stuffed full of pulsing beats and undulating riffs.

Articulate lines twine through soft synths and aching rhythms in a hypnotizing way while EVVY's pure vocals dole out  "and we lost all site of the troubles, they won't weigh us down to the rubble, 'cause you said, you said, you said, we'll be alright" with such honest emotion that the track becomes nothing less than completely entrancing.

Progress by E

Francisco The Man's simple concept video for single "Progress" offers up a sweet mirror for a pure indie rock track that reeks of summer beats and crisp riffs.

Unique vocals pick up definitively alternative lines like "looking through old photos of me and you, wish that I could tell you that I'm, ooh" and "let go of your dreams and they'll come true" all the while being backed by a persistent rhythm and insanely fun melody that begs for you to go to a live show and get lost dancing in the crowd.

Paralyse by E

Polarheart's "Paralyse" features a video as trippy and hypnotic as the song itself.

The fun production falls in waves and bittersweet lyrics and soft vocals are balanced out by a solid beat and lilting hooks, all while the interminably catchy chorus slowly plants itself in your mind.

Soaring synths wind through a soft rhythm in a trancelike way while articulate lines "I'm sitting here I got nothing but my name, got a bag full of ash and a pocket full of shame, head to the floor send a wish up to the sky, but I'm waking up to nothing and I have to wonder why" lay across a melody too rich and pretty to not fall for.
